Quality and curation act as my compass as I seek rare and remarkable single cask spirits. Over the past 18 years, I’ve explored countless distilleries – building relationships, trust, and a shared passion along the way. Meet Mike Gilmore, Founder & Curator
Roaming Road Spirits grew from Mike Gilmore’s long-standing pursuit of distinctive single-cask spirits and the relationships behind them. Through hands-on sourcing across multiple regions, he developed a curatorial approach centered on provenance, trust, and individuality—principles that now define Roaming Road’s global releases.
A Foundation Built on Trust and Discovery
Early private barrel selections in Kentucky helped shape a belief that great spirits reward curiosity. By focusing on trust, relationships, and the willingness to venture beyond familiar labels, a simple approach took hold—seek out remarkable casks and let them speak for themselves. Today, that philosophy carries Roaming Road Spirits across global markets.
Roaming Road showcases unique, premium, barrel-aged spirits with a distinct point of view.
My goal is to bottle the highest quality Single Cask Rums, Armagnacs, Cognacs, Grain Spirits, or whatever else I find interesting in this beautiful world of Aged Spirits. Geographical Boundaries don’t exist in my quest for spirits special enough for those of you who share a similar taste and discerning palate.
By nature, every offering from Roaming Road is 250 bottles or fewer.
Each offering is a completely one-of-a-kind spirit bottled from a singular cask. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. Unless, of course, you were one of the lucky few to get your hands on a bottle.
