Quality and curation act as my compass as I seek rare and remarkable single cask spirits. Over the past 16 years, I’ve explored countless distilleries – building relationships, trust, and a shared passion along the way. I founded Roaming Road to make sure that these unique finds don’t get lost in a major producer’s blend. Join me on this Roaming Road, and let’s go where the spirit takes us.

Meet Mike Gilmore, Founder & Curator

I founded Roaming Road after years of curating a rotating selection of single cask spirits for Country Lane Liquor in Wyoming. Turns out, I had a knack for getting to know the distillers behind some of the most unique barrel aged spirits in the world, eventually earning a bit of a reputation for shining a well-deserved light on single cask spirits with a distinct point of view.

This Journey Began at Country Lane Liquor

Over time, this humble liquor store in a small Wyoming town became somewhat of a destination for lovers of Rare and Allocated Bourbons. Known for our Private Barrel Selections as well as a stock of some very hard-to-find bottles, we did our best to ensure that exceptional aged spirits were available to all, especially if you were willing to trust our selections enough to venture off the beaten path.

Roaming Road showcases unique, premium, barrel-aged spirits with a distinct point of view.

My goal is to bottle the highest quality Single Cask Rums, Armagnacs, Cognacs, Grain Spirits, or whatever else I find interesting in this beautiful World of Aged Spirits. Geographical Boundaries don’t exist in our quest for spirits special enough for those of you who share a similar taste and discerning palate.

By nature, every offering from Roaming Road is 250 bottles or fewer.

Each offering is a completely one-of-a-kind spirit bottled from a singular cask. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. Unless, of course, you were one of the lucky few to get your hands on a bottle.
